Summary
This study tested two sedatives, dexmedetomidine and sufentanil, in 28 adults with traumatic brain injury undergoing surgery. The goal was to see which drug better maintained brain oxygen levels during and after the operation. Researchers measured oxygen using a non-invasive forehead sensor. The results could help doctors choose the best sedative for these patients.
