Summary
This study tested two sedatives, dexmedetomidine and sufentanil, in 28 people with traumatic brain injury having surgery. The goal was to see which drug better maintains brain oxygen levels during and after the operation. Researchers measured oxygen in the brain using a special light sensor on the forehead. The results will help doctors choose the best sedative for these patients.
