Summary
This study tested whether a sedative drug called dexmedetomidine helps the stomach empty faster after keyhole gallbladder removal surgery. Researchers enrolled 80 patients and used ultrasound scans to measure stomach volume before and after surgery. The goal was to see if this drug could reduce common post-surgery problems like nausea and vomiting by helping the digestive system get back to normal sooner.
