New hope for kids with GERD: can a daily pill ease their pain?

Summary
This study looks at whether a daily medicine called dexlansoprazole can help children aged 2 to 11 who have GERD symptoms like heartburn and stomach pain, but without damage to their esophagus. About 71 children will take the medicine or a placebo for 12 weeks, and parents or the children themselves will track symptoms daily. The goal is to see if the medicine increases the number of days without pain or burning.
