NCT ID NCT02616302
First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jul 30, 2026 · Updated 2 times
Summary
This study tests whether a daily medicine called dexlansoprazole can safely reduce symptoms of gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) in children aged 2 to 11 years who have heartburn but no damage to their esophagus. About 71 children will take the medicine or a placebo for 12 weeks, and parents or children will report symptoms daily using a diary. The goal is to see if the medicine increases the number of days without pain or burning.
