First seen May 18, 2026
Summary
This study looked at whether adding a steroid called dexamethasone to standard headache medicine helps people with headaches caused by a recent head injury. 162 adults with moderate to severe headaches were randomly assigned to get either the steroid plus standard medicine or standard medicine alone. The main goal was to see how many still had moderate or severe headaches 48 hours after leaving the emergency room.
