Summary
This study looked at whether adding a steroid called dexamethasone to a nerve block can make pain relief last longer after hand or wrist surgery in children. 90 children took part. The main goal was to see how long it took before they needed strong pain medicine. The study also tracked total pain medicine use, pain scores, and blood sugar levels.
