Inclusion Criteria: * children scheduled for hip surgery * body weight \> 5kg Exclusion Criteria: * infection at the site of the regional block, * coagulation disorders, * immunodeficiency, * American Society of Anesthesiologists (ASA) physical status of IV or higher, * history of regular steroid medication.
