New imaging method may spot tumor growth sooner after cryoablation
NCT ID NCT06224283
First seen May 16, 2026 · Last updated May 25, 2026 · Updated 3 times
Summary
This study looks at whether analyzing MRI images with a computer technique called radiomics can predict if a desmoid tumor will grow back after cryoablation (freezing treatment) better than current methods that only measure tumor size. Desmoid tumors are non-cancerous but can cause pain and disability. The study will involve 21 people who have already had cryoablation and will compare radiomics with standard response criteria to see which predicts progression more accurately.
