First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 30 times

Summary

This study tests whether desloratadine, a common allergy medication, can prevent or reduce nerve damage (peripheral neuropathy) caused by taxane chemotherapy in breast cancer patients. About 116 people will receive either desloratadine or a placebo during their 12-week chemo course. Researchers will track nerve symptoms and quality of life to see if the drug helps.
