New program aims to stop teen depression before it starts

Summary

This study tests a program called CATCH-IT, designed to prevent depression in teenagers aged 13-18 who have mild symptoms or a past episode but are not currently depressed. The program is delivered through primary care and uses a behavioral "vaccine" approach. Researchers will work with 400 teens across 4 health systems to see how well it works and how much it costs.
