Could a teeth cleaning boost Weight-Loss drug effects in kids?
NCT ID NCT07478653
Summary
This study aims to see if adding professional dental cleaning to a weight-loss medication (semaglutide) improves both gum health and metabolic health in children with obesity more than the medication alone. It will involve 50 children who are already in a related obesity study. Researchers will compare outcomes between kids who receive the dental cleaning plus oral hygiene instructions and those who receive only the instructions.
