Could a simple dental cleaning boost Weight-Loss drug benefits for kids?
NCT ID NCT07478653
Summary
This study aims to see if adding professional dental cleaning to a weight-loss medication (semaglutide) provides extra health benefits for children with severe obesity. It will compare children who receive cleaning plus hygiene instructions to those who only get instructions. The goal is to find out if better oral health also improves metabolic health beyond what the medication alone can do.
