Brain boost combo trial aims to slow early dementia
NCT ID NCT05181189
Summary
This study is testing whether combining two treatments—a drug that enhances brain signaling (DAOIB) and omega-3 fatty acids—works better than the drug alone to help people with early-stage Alzheimer's disease or mild cognitive impairment. Researchers will enroll 140 participants and measure changes in their memory, thinking skills, daily function, and quality of life over 24 weeks. The goal is to see if this combination can better control the symptoms and progression of early dementia.
