Summary
This study tested whether special snacks that change texture in the mouth (transitional-state foods) could help improve nutrition in people with dementia. Ten participants living at home tried the snacks for several weeks. The goal was to see if the snacks were safe, easy to use, and liked by participants, and if they could improve nutritional intake and quality of life.
