First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated Apr 30, 2026 · Updated 21 times

Summary

This study tests whether a surgical procedure on neck lymph vessels, combined with standard care, can slow decline in people with moderate-to-severe Alzheimer's disease. The surgery is designed to improve drainage of waste from the brain. 376 participants will be randomly assigned to receive either the surgery plus usual care or usual care alone, and their cognitive function will be measured after 12 months.
