Breathe deep: new study reveals how slow breathing calms your Body's nerves

NCT ID NCT07445113

First seen Mar 16, 2026 · Last updated Jun 09, 2026 · Updated 13 times

Summary

This study looks at how slow, deep breathing affects the vagus nerve and the body's automatic functions like heart rate and blood pressure. Sixty healthy adults will be split into three groups: two will practice different slow breathing techniques, and one will receive breathing education. The goal is to measure changes in heart rate variability and other signs of nerve activity, not to treat any disease.
