New hope for Hard-to-Treat GIST: experimental drug DCC-3009 enters human trials

Summary
This study tests an experimental drug called DCC-3009, alone or with other cancer treatments, in people with advanced gastrointestinal stromal tumor (GIST) that has stopped responding to standard therapies. The trial has two parts: first, finding the safest dose, then checking how well it shrinks tumors. About 120 participants will take the drug for up to 2 years.
