NCT ID NCT07548281

First seen Apr 23, 2026 · Last updated May 20, 2026 · Updated 4 times

Summary

This study tests if a drug-coated balloon is as safe and effective as a drug-coated stent for treating large blockages in heart arteries. About 2,492 people with coronary artery disease will be randomly assigned to one of the two treatments. Doctors will use special imaging to guide the procedure and track patients for 5 years to compare outcomes like death, heart attack, stroke, and bleeding.
