First seen May 15, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This study looked at whether a DASH-style diet (modified for diabetes) combined with lower salt intake can lower blood pressure in adults with type 2 diabetes and high blood pressure. 105 participants were fed different diets for 5-week periods. The main goal was to see if the DASH diet with less salt reduced systolic blood pressure more than a typical American diet with higher salt.
