Summary
This study looked at whether adding dapagliflozin to metformin helps people with severe obesity and diabetes or prediabetes lose more weight than metformin alone. About 160 adults with a BMI of 40 or higher took part over 12 months. The goal was to see if the combination leads to at least 10% greater weight loss.
