NCT ID NCT07199530

First seen Oct 31, 2025 · Last updated May 25, 2026 · Updated 28 times

Summary

This study is checking if a blood test called D-dimer can help doctors understand how serious a case of pneumonia is and how well a patient might recover. Researchers will measure D-dimer levels in 50 adults admitted with pneumonia and compare them to standard severity scores. The goal is to see if higher D-dimer levels are linked to more severe inflammation and lower survival, which could help guide treatment decisions.
