Tooth decay showdown: new study aims to predict Kids' dental treatment success
NCT ID NCT07171229
First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 29 times
Summary
This study looks at whether measuring certain substances (cytokines) in the pulp of a baby tooth can tell us how inflamed it is and predict if a pulpotomy (a common nerve treatment) will succeed. Researchers will treat 58 children's molars that have decay on either the top or side surface. They hope to find a link between cytokine levels and treatment outcomes like pain and healing.
