NCT ID NCT02012114
First seen Jan 11, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 26 times
Summary
This study followed 65 people with cystinosis for two years to see how closely they took their cysteamine medication and whether that affected their brain health. Researchers used special devices to track medication use, performed memory and vision tests, and used brain scans to look for cystine buildup. The goal was to understand why some patients develop neurological problems and how to improve treatment.
