Summary

This study tested a new tablet called BI 1291583 in 22 adults with cystic fibrosis and bronchiectasis (damaged airways). Participants took either the study drug or a placebo once daily for 12 weeks. The main goal was to see if the drug is safe and tolerable, and to measure its effect on lung inflammation markers.
