Summary
This study tested whether adding curcumin (the active ingredient in turmeric) to the standard medication risperidone could improve quality of life and reduce inflammation in men with schizophrenia. 44 participants took either risperidone alone or risperidone plus curcumin for 8 weeks. The goal was to see if curcumin's anti-inflammatory properties could help ease symptoms and boost well-being.
