Could a spice in your diet help spot Alzheimer's early?
NCT ID NCT05774704
Summary
This study is testing if taking a turmeric supplement (curcumin) for two weeks can help detect Alzheimer's disease. Researchers want to see if curcumin travels to the eye and sticks to specific protein deposits linked to Alzheimer's, making them visible. They will also check the supplement's safety and see if it changes gut bacteria in 60 participants aged 40-89.
