Could a spice in your kitchen help doctors see Alzheimer's coming?
NCT ID NCT05774704
Summary
This study is testing if taking a turmeric supplement (curcumin) for two weeks can help detect Alzheimer's disease. Researchers want to see if curcumin travels to the eye and sticks to harmful protein plaques, making them visible on a special scan. They will also check if the supplement is safe, how much gets into the body, and if it changes gut bacteria.
