Cuff training may unlock muscle power in weak patients
NCT ID NCT07494721
First seen Mar 29, 2026 · Last updated Jun 18, 2026 · Updated 12 times
Summary
This study tests a low-load exercise method using pressure cuffs on the legs to see if it can improve muscle energy (mitochondrial capacity) in people with general weakness. Fifty-one participants will do either strength or endurance training while their muscle oxygen is measured with a light-based sensor. The goal is to understand how this safe, non-invasive approach might help in rehabilitation.
