Blood test may predict cancer return after surgery

NCT ID NCT04099290

First seen Jan 22, 2026 · Last updated May 20, 2026 · Updated 19 times

Summary

This study looks at a blood test that measures tiny bits of tumor DNA in people with head and neck cancer. Researchers want to see how these levels change after surgery and whether they can help predict if the cancer will come back. About 50 adults planning surgery will provide blood samples before and after the procedure. The goal is to learn more about the disease, not to test a new treatment.
