First seen Mar 26, 2026 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 12 times
Summary
This study tested two procedures—cryoablation (freezing) and endoscopic denervation (cutting)—to treat chronic pain in the sacroiliac joint, a common cause of lower back pain. 51 adults with confirmed pain participated. Both methods aim to stop pain signals by targeting specific nerves. The study measured pain levels and daily function improvements over time.
