Summary

This study tested whether crofelemer, a drug that reduces fluid secretion in the gut, could improve stool consistency in adults with functional diarrhea. The trial was terminated early after enrolling only 17 participants. The main goal was to measure stool firmness after 4 weeks of treatment compared to a placebo.
