Mushroom cream soothes baby rashes in new study

Summary
This study tested a cream paste containing pleuran (a beta-glucan from oyster mushrooms) on 110 children with diaper rash, perioral dermatitis, or neonatal pustulosis. Participants applied the cream 2-3 times daily for up to 2 weeks. The main goals were to see if the cream reduced redness and improved overall skin condition. The study was completed and focused on symptom relief, not a cure.
