Mushroom cream soothes baby rashes in new study

Summary

This study tested a cream paste made with pleuran (a beta-glucan from oyster mushrooms) on 110 children with diaper rash, perioral dermatitis, or neonatal pustulosis. Participants applied the cream 2-3 times daily for up to 2 weeks. Researchers measured redness and overall skin improvement, and monitored for side effects.
