Summary
This study aimed to understand how COVID-19 infection affects complications in people diagnosed with a serious blood clot in the lungs (pulmonary embolism). Researchers followed 88 patients for one year, comparing outcomes between those who tested positive for COVID-19, those who tested negative, and those who may have had a past infection. The goal was to gather real-world data on recovery and complication rates to help guide future patient care.
