Summary
This study aimed to understand the long-term complications for patients who had a serious blood clot in the lung (pulmonary embolism) during the first major wave of the COVID-19 pandemic in France. Researchers followed 88 patients for one year to see if their COVID-19 status (positive or negative) affected their risk of further health problems like another clot, lung damage, or death. The goal was to gather real-world data to help doctors better manage future patients.
