This study followed 88 adults diagnosed with pulmonary embolism (blood clots in the lungs) during April 2020, the peak of the COVID-19 pandemic in France. Researchers compared complications like chronic lung disease, repeat clots, high blood pressure in the lungs, and death over 6 to 12 months between patients who had COVID-19 and those who did not. The goal was to understand how COVID-19 affects recovery from pulmonary embolism.
