Summary

This study compares a 3-session couples program (Brief Relationship Checkup) to standard individual care for 360 veterans and their partners who have relationship and mental health concerns. The goal is to see which approach better reduces suicide risk factors by improving relationship health. Both partners must be in a committed relationship for at least 6 months, and at least one must be a VA-enrolled veteran.
