Couples therapy shows promise in reducing veteran suicide risk

Summary
This study tested a new type of therapy for veterans with suicidal thoughts and their romantic partners. The therapy, called TR&ST, combines suicide prevention techniques with couples counseling to improve communication and safety. Researchers worked with 104 veterans and their partners to see if this approach could reduce suicidal thinking and strengthen relationships.
