Simple talks and texts may slash hypertension in bangladesh slums
NCT ID NCT07012096
First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This study tests whether personalized counseling, leaflets, and text messages can help 1,700 healthy adults living in Dhaka slums avoid high blood pressure. Participants receive 20 face-to-face sessions on diet, exercise, and tobacco use. The goal is to see if these lifestyle changes can prevent hypertension and related heart problems in a low-resource setting.
