Summary
This study tested whether offering smokers an e-cigarette starter kit, brief advice, and a referral to stop-smoking services in the emergency department helps them quit. Nearly 1,000 adult daily smokers took part. The main goal was to see if more people stayed smoke-free for six months compared to usual care.
