First seen Mar 25, 2026 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 10 times

Summary

This study looked at whether giving a long-acting steroid just before removing impacted wisdom teeth can lessen pain, facial swelling, and trouble opening the mouth afterward. Sixty adults aged 18 to 35 took part, receiving either the steroid or a placebo. The goal was to see if this simple step improves recovery and reduces discomfort after surgery.
