First seen Nov 03, 2025 · Last updated May 25, 2026 · Updated 35 times
Summary
This study tests whether taking a corticosteroid (prednisone) after ureteroscopy—a surgery to remove kidney stones—can help reduce pain and the need for extra painkillers. About 90 adults who are having this surgery with a stent placed will be enrolled. Researchers will compare pain scores and medication use between those who get the steroid and those who do not.
