Can a short steroid burst fix stubborn MS brain spots?

NCT ID NCT02784210

First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 36 times

Summary

This study looks at whether a short course of high-dose steroids can help heal a specific type of brain lesion in people with multiple sclerosis (MS). These ring-enhancing lesions may not heal as well on their own. About 30 adults with MS and such a lesion will either receive steroids for 3 days or no treatment, and then be followed with MRIs and exams for 25 weeks.
