Doctors test cell injection to repair damaged corneas and restore sight

NCT ID NCT06726174

Summary

This early-stage trial is testing a new therapy for people with corneal endothelial cell dysfunction, a condition that causes corneal swelling and vision loss. Doctors will grow healthy corneal cells from a donor in a lab and then inject them into the patient's eye. The goal is for these new cells to attach and grow, reducing swelling and improving vision.
