Daily spray shows promise in taming COPD Flare-Ups
NCT ID NCT01842360
Summary
This study tested whether a daily under-the-tongue spray containing inactivated bacteria (called MV130) could help adults with moderate to severe COPD. The goal was to see if the spray could reduce the number and severity of COPD flare-ups (exacerbations) compared to a placebo spray. About 200 participants used the spray daily for a year and were monitored for an additional 6 months to track their health and any side effects.
