Summary

This study tested a device called COOLSTAT that is placed in the nose to cool down fever in intensive care patients with brain conditions like stroke or seizures. The goal was to see if it could safely and quickly bring fever under control. The trial was stopped early and only included 9 people, so results are very limited.
