First seen Oct 31, 2025 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 31 times
Summary
This study compares two ways of managing body temperature in people who are unconscious after a cardiac arrest that happened in the hospital. One group will be cooled to 33°C (therapeutic hypothermia), and the other will have their temperature kept normal. The goal is to see which approach leads to better brain function and survival after 6 months. About 788 adults will take part across multiple hospitals.
