Summary
This study tested whether painting roofs with a special reflective coating (cool roofs) can lower indoor temperatures and improve health in Niue. 288 adults living in homes with metal roofs took part. Researchers measured heart rate, blood sugar, depression, and other health factors to see if cooler homes lead to better well-being and lower energy costs.
