NCT ID NCT06834893

First seen Feb 27, 2026 · Last updated May 19, 2026 · Updated 15 times

Summary

This study will test whether special reflective roof coatings, called cool roofs, can lower indoor temperatures and improve health for people living in hot areas of Colima, Mexico. About 800 households will take part, and researchers will measure things like heart rate, blood sugar, depression, and heat-related symptoms. The goal is to find a simple, low-cost way to help communities adapt to rising heat from climate change.
