First seen Feb 27, 2026 · Last updated May 21, 2026 · Updated 11 times
Summary
This study compares freezing breast tumors (cryoablation) to standard surgery (lumpectomy) in 120 women with low-risk, early-stage breast cancer. The goal is to see if freezing is as safe and effective at controlling the disease, with fewer complications and better quality of life. Participants will be randomly assigned to one of the two treatments.
